  1. Following along the tour a little late this week!

How important are your character’s jobs to who they are as a person? Catherine taking in lost strays is a bit telling!

    • Andra, your questions have been fun through the tour. Thank you for visiting. Josef is an easy answer to your question. If he wasn’t a farmer, there would be no reason for him to be in the story and there would be no conflict. Answering for Cat is a little more challenging. Her job developed as the story idea blossomed. I knew she was going to rescue horses but as I wrote, these other critters snuck into the story. Some became her own animals and others are ones she’s taken in over time. I had fun with the little animals because they’re all past family pets. Then knowing the farm was going to play a major roll in the story, the light bulb clicked on and from there she was a vet. A little inside scoop on what was going to happen, she originally was going to open her own vet office in the farm house.

  2. So glad that you enjoyed the novel! I am looking forward to reading it myself! 🙂

  4. It’s great that you hosted Jody today and featured her book–she always has such a good story to tell! I have to say, I have horses and have cleaned a ton of stalls too–and some days manure can definitely bring me to tears; maybe not always from the smell but from the sheer amount of it1 — LOL.

  5. Great review and excerpt, thank you.

  6. KY Bunnies, Thank you so much for hosting me today and the review! I must clarify Cat doesn’t tear up because of the smell of manure. If anything manure makes your nose crinkle and mouth turn downwards in disgust. ;^) Looking forward to be here today.

  7. I love, love this review. This sounds like such a great story.

  8. Thank you your your review. Appreciated as always. I’m looking forward to the ‘manure’ incident.
