Review: Perp and Circumstance by Gayle Trent @gayletrent #Mystery
I knew going in that this is a short novella. This is my only problem with this series. It being too short. I would prefer something longer but I can understand that authors cannot always write long stories even if that is what readers want. Besides that this story would not feel the same if it was longer. Everything falls into place perfectly at the right time throughout the story.
I am enjoying how readers are getting to watch Crimson aka Sunny grow up. To move from the 8th grade to high school. I cannot wait to read the next book in this wonderful series. The author keeps up the twist and provides just enough at the right time.
As a reader I wonder if Myrtle will ever get into trouble with her beau, Sheriff Coop or will he be able to keep her on the straight and narrow. I do admit that most of the crimes Myrtle has been investigating are your average everyday stuff officers deal with. However it is fun to see and read about these. A light read for those not interested in reading about some gruesome murder scene.
As with all these books the bunnies and I highly recommend to any who enjoy cozy mysteries. A fast, fun and light read just waiting for you to discover or to discover you.
The bunnies and I give this book carrots.
