Hello and thanks for stopping by and visiting with me and the bunnies. It is so nice to have Faye Hall here. Readers I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did. Oh, hold on Faye Hall every time someone new stops by the dogs and bunnies go crazy.
What do you do when you are not writing? My husband and I have 9 children between us, ages 16 to 18 months, so that usually keeps me pretty busy.
Do you ever write in your PJ’s? Most of the time I do yes. Love writing in winter cause I can wear my flanny pj’s
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? In Australia we get Weiss Mango and Cream – is just sooo yummy!
What is your favorite thing to eat/snack on while writing? I tend to have a fetish for cup-a-soups
Candles or spray air fresheners? Love candles
Do you prefer to live in a big city or in the country? Country
Please tell the readers a bit more about you. I’m from a small country town in Northern Queensland, Australia. I am a mother and a wife who just loves to write love stories that also involve a bit of mystery, scandal and murder.
What types of books do you write? Historical Erotic Romances set in Australia.
How many books have you written? I have 3 contracted with Red Sage Publishing, a 4th just recently submitted, and another 2 I’m currently working on
How many are published? Two – My Gift to You (2012) and my new release She’s A lot Like You
How long does it take you to write a book? It usually takes a couple of months to get it ready for my editor to look over, but I can usually get a first draft done in a couple of weeks
What does your family think of your writing? They are all just so supportive! My husband is also my web designer, so if I ever get in a slump he knows just how to get me back on track
What’s the latest news you’d like to share? My new release, She’s A lot Like You, is currently available from Red Sage Publishing website
Tell me about your book. How did you come up with that (story, angle, idea)? She’s A lot Like You is about two young lovers torn apart by the lies and hidden secrets of their families. When Willow Jameson returns ten years later for revenge against Re Morgan, she finds long ago feelings are brought back to the surface.
The title came from a Lindsay Buckingham (Fleetwood Mac) song called ‘Go Insane’. The idea – two lovers, forbidden to be together; torn apart by lies; their lives filled with scandal and the ever present threat of murder – I guess I just thought it would make the ultimate love story.
What do you hope readers will take away from your books? I’m an Australian, and my books are also set in Australia – it would be nice if my readers can take from my books the assurance that Australian’s actually did have a grand history; and that we weren’t/aren’t all walking around with corked hats on with pet kangaroo’s in our back yards
Are you currently working on any new projects? What can we expect from you in the future? I’ve just received the final cover for my third book, Mistress of Purity, so hopefully edits and a release date will be following shortly.
Where can readers find you? They can find me @ my website http://www.faye-hall.com my Red Sage page http://eredsage.com/store/ShesALotLikeYou.html blog http://www.faye-hall.com/?cat=16 Facebook https://www.facebook.com/pages/Faye-Hall/174774709247649
Willow Jameson knew nothing of her family’s past or their connection to the Morgan family when she first met Re Morgan. All she seen was his ruggedly handsome appearance, his gentle words luring her into his strong embrace. What she found was a passion beyond compare.
She couldn’t have foreseen the lies and family betrayal that would inevitably rob her of the man she loved and forever change her life.
TEN YEARS LATER
Willow returned to the town life she loved so much, no longer ignorant to those who had separated her from the man she’d loved. She was back now to make those responsible pay for all they’d taken from her. In her search what she found was the hardened man Re Morgan had become…
…a man whose mere glance reignited a passion she had thought long since forgotten.
Re Morgan had left a horde of jilted lovers in his trail. When he seen Willow again across the crowded dancehall, he wanted nothing more than to add her to this list. Re wanted little more than a short, heated affair.
What he became involved in was far more scandalous than he could have ever imagined.
Faye Hall’s passion driven, mystery filled books are set in small townships of North Queensland, Australia during the late 1800’s.
Each of her novels bring something symbolically Australian to her readers, from Aboriginal herbal remedies, to certain gemstones naturally only found in this part of the world.
Each of her books tell of a passionate connection between the hero and heroine, surrounded and threatened by deceit, scandal, theft and sometimes even murder.
These romances swerve from the traditional romances as Faye aims to give her readers so much more intrigue, whilst also revealing the hidden histories of rural townships of North Queensland.
Faye finds her inspiration from the histories of not only the township she grew up in, but the many surrounding it. She also bases most of her characters on people she has met in her life.
Faye was able to live her own passion driven romance, marrying the love of her life after a whirlwind romance in 2013. Together they are raising their 9 children in a remote country town in northern Queensland, Australia.
